Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
Lightly flour a surface and roll out the pizza dough to your desired thickness. Transfer it to a baking sheet or pizza stone.
Brush the dough lightly with 1 tablespoon of olive oil to prevent it from becoming soggy.
Pre-bake the crust:
Bake the pizza crust for 8–10 minutes or until lightly golden.
Add the toppings:
Spread marinara or pizza sauce evenly over the pre-baked crust.
Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
Arrange zucchini slices in a single layer on top of the cheese.
Sprinkle Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and crushed red pepper flakes (if using) over the zucchini.
Bake the pizza:
Return the pizza to the oven and bake for another 10–12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the crust is golden brown.
Garnish and serve:
Remove the pizza from the oven and drizzle with the remaining olive oil. Garnish with fresh basil leaves.
Slice into pieces and serve warm.
