How to Make Ahead and Store

Make Ahead: You can prepare the smoked salmon, avocado slices, lemon wedges, capers, and fresh dill ahead of time. Store these ingredients separately in airtight containers in the refrigerator.
Poached Eggs: Poach the eggs just before serving for the best texture. However, you can poach eggs in advance and store them in a bowl of cold water in the refrigerator. Reheat them gently in warm water before serving.
Storage: Assemble the dish just before eating to maintain the freshness and texture of the ingredients. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 day, but the quality is best when freshly made.
